Whether you have no artistic experience, or you are an accomplished artist seeking to “unblock”, this workshop is designed as a fun and relaxing way to tap into new areas of creativity while making gorgeous jewelry. Learn the basics of choosing a color palette & effortless techniques used to create vibrant “galaxy” pendants using alcohol ink. Experiment with the inks on paper first and then move on to painting on glass. Leave with a variety of beautiful pendants and magnets and at least two complete necklaces. This is a free-flowing, intuitive medium – Once you try these inks you’ll be hooked! No experience is needed. All supplies provided. Open to participants 16 and older. $55 (members) /$61 (future members)
About the Instructor:
Kristin Heron has long been influenced by Florida’s unique landscape, the flora and fauna of the natural world, and the curiosity of childhood. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Music from Rollins College, she returned to her hometown of Ormond Beach with a deep commitment to engaging the community in the arts. She specializes in whimsical fine art paintings, illustration, and creative graphic design services. Kristin has taught at OMAM since June 2014 and is currently the Curator of Education and Outreach for the museum.
