Veteran’s Day Tribute
The Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens was founded in 1946 by Ormond Beach residents as a living monument to creative freedom and equality of all persons, and to commemorate the service of World War I & II veterans who fought valiantly for that ideal.
Each November 11, we pause to honor our veterans, their families and loved ones. Our annual Veterans Day Tribute begins at 11 AM in deference to the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (unless November 11 falls on a Sunday, in which case the ceremony starts at 1 PM).
Speakers representing various branches of service, musical ensembles and children all share their thoughts and gratitude for those who have served. The ceremony is held outside under a large tent and followed with refreshments and a patriotic sing-a-long inside the museum.
Please join us for our next Veterans Day Tribute, and be sure to stroll through our gardens afterward to view the original sculptures dedicated to veterans who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
