REGISTRATION DEADLINE for "Images in Blue" Workshop
Registration Deadline: 4pm Tuesday, Nov. 1st
Workshop: 10am - 1pm Saturday, November 5
In this 3-hour workshop taught by M. Kathleen Warren on Saturday, Nov. 5th, students will create cyanotype prints using their own personal digital images. Although cyanotypes are often associated with prints of plant parts and found objects, the process has also been used to contact print photographic negatives as positive blue-and-white prints—this application of cyanotype printing will be the focus of this workshop. Students of the “Images in Blue” workshop have the option to also register for the “More than Blue” workshop, which will be held the very next day. They will get to use their previously created blue-and-white prints to experiment with toning using natural substances, and will also get to explore the subtle use of watercolor paints on different areas.
