Exhibit Opening Reception
Join us to celebrate the opening of Charles Humes Jr.’s solo exhibition which tells visual stories about Black life through his drawings, print makings, mixed media pieces, and paintings created between 1985 and 2021.
Meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments, and listen to live music! This special evening event is free and open to the public. A cash bar will be available for beer and wine.
“My work is a reflection of my goal to be a visual writer, telling stories about the lives, times, trials and genre of people of color, people who look like me. No matter the subject, style, media or method the unifying mantra in my work is Black life.”
