"The Symbolists: Klimt, Munch & Others" with Ruth Grim

Join guest lecture curator Ruth Grim in the OMAM Boardroom for a talk exploring the Symbolism art movement that emphasized human imagination and ‘life of the mind’ as opposed to depictions of everyday reality. In this visual feast, you’ll recognize many favorites, such as Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss, Edvard Munch’s The Scream, and John William Waterhouse’s The Lady of Shallot, and will learn about the thinking behind the stunning works illustrating history, literature, drama, and dreams.
This lecture is free, but registration is requested as seats are limited. The program will last approximately one hour. Registration will close when talk is full.
