Colored Pencil "Wild Hair Don’t Care" Highland Cow with Kathi Darby
In this one-day colored pencil workshop instructed by Kathi Darby, we will draw a Scottish highland cow on drafting film and will create a dynamic and textured piece using colored pencils. Creative techniques on both sides of the film with the addition of solvents will render the wild hair and personality of the subject, as well as allow all the subtle textures and details of the fur and eyes. This project is designed for students from beginner to intermediate artists and is a fun take on a popular subject. Due to the varying rate at which each student may work, some students might not complete the project in class but will leave with all the knowledge needed to complete the piece at home.
