Cereal Box Sketchbook

Make a one-of-a-kind sketchbook!

SUPPLIES

  • Cereal box
  • Scissors
  • Stack of paper
  • Wide ribbon or decorative paper
  • String
  • Tape
  • Hot glue

STEPS

  1. Cut out one side of the cereal box, fold in half
  2. Trim paper stack to fit inside journal cover
  3. Use a nail and hammer to punch three holes in the paper and cover
  4. Use a pencil to widen the holes if needed
  5. Add tape to the end of a string so it doesn’t fray (or use a needle)
  6. Sew the book binding, starting with the middle hole
  7. Cover the binding with a wide ribbon or strip of decorative paper
  8. Tie a string around the book to hold it closed
