Beginning Watercolor II with Pam Bleakney
March 5, 12, 19, 26
Please register online or call 386-676-3347
This class is designed primarily for students who have taken Pam Bleakney’s “Beginning, Beginning, Watercolor” class or students with a basic knowledge of watercolor. The class is for students still considered beginners with a burning desire to paint. Experience the thrill of the pigment and water coming together in your creation. Pam will give demonstrations and students can follow her lessons or start creating their own compositions. Pam’s goal is to instill a love of watercolor in each student and add another step to the artistic journey. By the end of this session you’ll be planning your own paintings and starting to work from your own photos or better still, your imaginations. Lessons will include thumbnails, value sketches and palette selection. Students are responsible for all supplies; please see supply list below. Open to participants 16 and older. Cost: $60 (members) / $67 (future members)
Watercolor pad, 140lb, cold press, 6” x 9”, no bigger than 9” x 12”
Academy or Cotman (preferred): Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Ultramarine Blue. Permanent Rose, Cobalt Blue, Lemon Yellow, Sap Green and Burnt Sienna
If you want to buy better watercolor paint – great! (Windsor and Newton, Holbein, Da Vinci, or M. Graham)
