Colored Pencil: Macaw on a Limb

Three-Day Series: March 12th, 15th and 22nd – 1:30-3:30pm

Let Bill Shoemaker show how easily you can draw this beautiful tropical bird. Prismacolor Verithin and Prismacolor Premier Pencils will both be used for this class. The surface for this project will be Strathmore #300 Bristol paper. In this class you will learn how to layer, blend, lift colors, and burnish the colors to give a “Finished Look”. The paper and photo reference will be supplied in your student packet, ; students are responsible for pencils on the supply list (see below). This class is geared for the beginning and intermediate colored pencil artist. All students must be 18 years or older to register. $88 (members) /  $96 (future members)

About the Instructor:

Bill Shoemaker has a 5 year merit award from CPSA (Colored Pencil Society of America) and has been published five times including a book coming out this fall, Strokes of Genius # 10 ( The Best of Drawing ). He has taught at OMAM since 2014.
