Whether you have no artistic experience, or you are an accomplished artist seeking to “unblock”, this workshop is designed as a fun and relaxing way to tap into new areas of creativity. Learn the basics of choosing a color palette, & the different materials & effortless techniques used to create a vibrant abstract landscape paintings. Experiment with painting on paper, tile, and glass. Leave with a few small paintings, tile coasters, and a glass votive holder. This is a free-flowing, intuitive medium. No drawing or painting experience is needed. All supplies provided. Open to participants 16 and older. $55 (members) /$61 (not-yet members)

About the Instructor:
Kristin Heron’s artwork has long been influenced by Florida’s unique landscape, the flora and fauna of the natural world, and the curiosity of childhood. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Music from Rollins College, she returned to her hometown of Ormond Beach with a deep commitment to engaging the community in the arts. She specializes in whimsical fine art paintings and illustrations. Kristin has taught at OMAM since June 2014 and is currently the Curator of Education, Outreach and Exhibitions for the museum.
