Call for Artist Submissions

OPEN CALLS

Once Upon A Time: The Renaissance

The Ormond Memorial Art Museum has open calls related to their interactive, five-week fundraising experience taking place this Fall (October 10 - November 15, 2026). Both the exhibition and events are curated; not all submissions will be accepted.

Deadline to submit is August 16, 2026.

  1. CALL FOR PERFORMERS: Musicians, actors, puppeteers, dancers, spoken word artists, and other interactive/roaming characters have the opportunity to participate at one or more of the Once Upon A Time signature events.
  2. CALL FOR EXHIBITION ITEMS: Renaissance inspired/influenced works of fine art, fashions, accessories or decorative objects.

Art Walk Pop-Up Solo Exhibitions

Emerging and established artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work at Ormond Memorial Art Museum as part of a curated three-day pop-up show held in conjunction with the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk. Typically, artwork is displayed on easels in the Reception Gallery, and is setup the day before the Art Walk (preferably at 10am Friday) and remains up the day after the event (with pickup at 3:30pm that Sunday). The exhibiting artist should be present at the museum during the Art Walk (3-7pm). The artist may sell their work (commission-free), and there is no charge to participate. Interested artists should complete this online form. Please submit up to 10 pieces for consideration. OMAM will select up to 10 pieces. Please also write a thoughtful artist statement for the collection of work you are submitting, or write individual artist statements for each piece submitted, as this is a part of the selection process. Incomplete entries will not be reviewed.

Pop-Up submissions will be open through August 2026. Entries will be reviewed starting in September 2026

We’re excited to continue expanding our education programs, and invite instructors interested in teaching students age 16 & older to submit a proposal. All media will be considered, and classes may draw on any art-related, garden-related, or creative theme.

We are currently accepting proposals for classes and workshops to be held August-September 2026. To be considered for that timeframe, please submit no later than May 31st. You will be contacted when your application is reviewed. Please submit your proposal here: https://form.jotform.com/250235443731147
