“Mandalas: 4 Artists Enter the Circle”Jan. 19 – March 4, 2018
According to Merrium-Webster dictionary, the definition of mandala is:
1 :a Hindu or Buddhist graphic symbol of the universe; specifically :a circle enclosing a square with a deity on each side that is used chiefly as an aid to meditation
2 :a graphic and often symbolic pattern usually in the form of a circle divided into four separate sections or bearing a multiple projection of an image
Artists Paul Heussenstamm, Sherrill Schoening, Jorge Fernandini and Dan Gunderson explore mandalas in the exhibition curated by Schoening.
In conjunction with this exhibition, presented by Frame of Mind Custom Framing and WSBB Radio, we will present a Coffee & Conversation with Curator Sherrill Schoening and , Bunnie Graham, Ph. D and registered art therapist, on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10:30 and a guided labyrinth walk with Certified Labyrinth Facilitator Karen Duffy and Labyrinth Artist Joan Baliker Saturday, February 24th at 2pm.
